Elwin Phillip Zehner, 75, of Caballo, New Mexico, died Monday, May 2, 2005. He was born July 24, 1929, near Onaga, the son of Roy and Felicie Pinet Zehner. He was a graduate of Onaga high school and a veteran of the U. S. Army. He married Edna Jean Lewis on November 30, 1950, at Seneca. She survives of the home. Other survivors include a son, Terence Lee Zehner; two daughters, Tina JoAnn and Tracy Lou; two sisters, Marjorie Shove of Topeka and Elroy McDowell of Onaga; and four grandchildren. Mr Zehner was preceded in death by a sister, Felicia Belle Zehner Eytchison and a brother, Frank B. Zehner. Elwin was cremated and his ashes will be scattered at a later date on a mountain top near his home.
