"Elisabeth Theresia (nee-Thuring) Sauter, passed away on Friday, February 26th 2016 at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown. She was 79. Elisabeth was born in Basel, Switzerland. She came to the United States and lived in Stamford, Connecticut before moving to Parsippany 52 years ago. Elisabeth and her husband were co-owners of the Viking Bakery for 12 years before retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Community Church in Mountain Lakes where she was a member of Women's Group 9 and 10. Elisabeth was a wonderful mother, 'Mema', friend and role model. She enjoyed cooking Swiss specialties for her family, traveling, reading, planting tulip bulbs in the fall and visiting Van Gogh's "Cypress Trees" at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Max F. who passed away on June 4, 1997. Survivors include her daughters: Elizabeth Frister of Randolph, Mary Anne Sauter of Dover and Kathy Fehon and her husband, Bob of Rockaway Township; her son-in-law, Ron Frister of Randolph; her sister-in-law, Dorli Wettstein; and her grandchildren: Nicole, Jennie, Sara, Grant and Nolan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life at 1:00p.m. on Saturday, March 19th 2016 at the Community Church of Mountain Lakes. 48 Briarcliff Road, Mountain Lakes.
