Robert retired from Container Corporation after 38 years of service.
He attended Valley Grove Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed driving the church bus to bring the children to Sunday School. He had a passion for woodworking, hunting and antique cars.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Aline (Hargis) Carr; two children, Dan & wife Vicky Carr and Margie & husband John Wilson; siblings, Avo Cantrell and Edward D. Carr; six grandchildren, Rebecca & husband Stephen Dervan, Rachel Carr, Ryan Daniel Gentry Carr, Natalie Raper, Valerie Mitchell and Hilary Raper; two great grandchildren, Samuel Cade Dervan and Elijah Cole Dervan.
He was preceded by his parents, William Luther & Lee Ethel (Walker) Carr; siblings, Laura Krantz, Carver D. Carr, Bessie Ramsey, Zola Norrod, Monroe Carr, Woodroe Carr and Dorthy Ashby.
