Manfred Jacob came to the Netherlands on January 5th, 1939, with a Kindertransport. He stayed at the Dommelhuis in Eindhoven, the in Driebergen, and Lochem, before moving into the boys orphanage in Amsterdam in May 1940.
In March 1943 he moved to the Uiterwaardenstraat 75-II, where he lived with Abraham Levin.
His parents were Emilie Hesz, born on 25.09.1893 in Ortenberg, and Alexander, born on 06.06.1880 in Wächtersbach. Both of them were deported with unknown destination according to the Gedenkbuch.
