Husband John Pittman was killed in Battle of Bunker Hill, Boston, MA. James served with his father at the Boston Tea Party and survived the Battle at Breed's Hill asa Bunker Hill.

Four children with John Pittman: Mary, Nancy, James and Jacob. The girls married and moved to VA. Their son, James married Elizabeth Robertson after the Rev War. Another son, Jacob married Sarah M. Bullard.
