Bookkeeper retired from Krystal Fashions
Anna (Bixler) Pennington, 85, of Benton, died late Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 22, 2018, at Bonham Nursing Center.
Born Dec. 16, 1932, in Perry County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth (Steele) Bixler. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, A. Ross Pennington Jr., on July 30, 2004.
Mrs. Pennington was a 1950 graduate of Duncannon High School. She had been employed as a secretary/bookkeeper for the former Dol-Ang Manufacturing in Benton, which later became known as Krystal Fashions, from where she retired.
Surviving are her two children: Rodney D. Pennington and his wife, Julie, of Benton, Jill E. Pennington of Muncy; a grandson, Douglas Pennington, of Benton, and his fiancée, Breanna Heckman; and two sisters: Burnadetta Bixler and Ruth Bixler, both of Mechanicsburg.
Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings: Leona Hennessy, Vivian Bixler and Luther Bixler.
Viewing and Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton, with Pastor Scott L. Lyons, Stillwater Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Benton Cemetery.
