Virginia R. Churchill, 82, of White River Junction, Vt., died Monday, April 26, 1999, at her home.

Mrs. Churchill was born Sept. 25, 1916, in Middletown, Ohio, daughter of the late Frank and Cordelia (Bayliss) Kingsley.

She was the widow of Leslie F. Churchill, who died in April 1968. They married in September 1935.

She lived in Ohio for a short time before moving to Vermont and settling in White River Junction.

Mrs. Churchill worked as a seamstress for many years out of her home where she made wedding gowns, dresses and other finely detailed clothing. Later she went to work at 25,000 Gifts in White River Junction, where she worked for over 30 years primarily in the Woolen Wonderland section of the Gift Shop, where she made many of the clothing items.

She graduated from Windsor High School, in Windsor, Vt., in 1935.

She enjoyed her family reunions and family dinners.

Survivors include two daughters, Janet C. Sberro of Annandale, Va., and Margaret J. "Peggy" L'Ecuyer of Nashua a son-in-law, Jack L'Ecuyer three grandsons, Lee, Jeff, and Mark L'Ecuyer six great- grandchildren, Josh, Jenny, Laurie, Sara, Angela and Nick L'Ecuyer, all of Nashua three sisters, Irene Rollins of Brandon, Vt., Eleanor Bemis of Athens, Vt., and Katherine Morse of Windsor, and several nieces and nephews.
