Viola V. Hopkins, age 79, of Tipton, Indiana passed away September 2, 2018.
She was born on October 12, 1938 in San Antonio, Texas to Jose and Ida (Zapata) Villarreal.
Viola’s father, Joe, passed away while she was still very young, and Ida married Gregorio Rodriguez.
Viola married the love of her life, Billy D. Hopkins on July 14, 1969 and he preceded her in death 12 days before her, on August 20th, 2018.
Survivors include her children; Jerry (Nancy) Hopkins, Julie (Kenneth) Leonard, Vivian (Zavala) Winters and Summer Crabtree. Also 11 Grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren,s urviving siblings are: Virginia Rudin, Margaret (Peggy) DeBosy, Gregory Rodriguez, David Villalreal, Irene Lovez and Diane Rodriguez .
Viola was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Billy Hopkins, a son Jeffery D. Winters and her two beloved brothers Joe and Eddie Villalreal.
An evening visitation is planned from 6 to 7 pm on Friday September 7, 2018 at Porter Funeral Home located at 726 E. North Street in Tipton Indiana. A eulogy reading by family members will follow at 7PM.
