He was a former employee of the Morrell Packing Co. and of the Santa Fe Railway Co. and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife Amelia Burghart of the home; three sons, Godfrey and George Burghart Jr., both of Topeka, and Jacob Burghart, Auburn; six daughters, Mary Ann Burghart, of the home, Mrs. Virgil Taylor and Mrs. Glen Streeter, both of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Lucien Hotte, Bridport, Vt., Mrs. Joe Sommers and Mrs. Herman Rohr, both of Topeka; a sister, Mrs. Joseph Konrade, Topeka; and 28 grandchildren.
