Death of Mrs. Hefner. Had Been a Resident of Topeka Since 1894.
Mrs. Katherina Hefner, 88, died Friday at the home of her son, Michael P. Hefner, 526 North Sardou Avenue.
She was born November 10, 1843 at Piefer Saratoff, Russia.
She came to Salina, Kan. in 1890 and in the spring of 1894 she came to Topeka where she had lived ever since.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. John P. Degand, 1418 North Jefferson Street, Topeka; and three sons, Joseph G. Hefner of Milwaukee, Wis., Peter Hefner of Leofeld, Sask., Canada, and Michael Hefner of the home address. She also had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be made later.
