He was born in Mason County Aug. 25, 1898, a son of John H. and Feeka Bartman Renken. He married Rickie Eggena at Manito, Feb. 5, 1908.
Surviving are his wife; his father, Mason City; a son, Glen, Mason City; a daughter, Miss Dorothy Renken, at home; three brothers, John, San Jose; Koert, Mason City; Jacob, Greenview; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Young, Zisalia, Calif.; Mrs. Tegia McBride, Mason City; a half brother, Ralph Jacobs, Mason City; and a half sister, Mrs. Ann Imig, Mason City.
Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery at Pekin.
