Erma (Netzer) Gehring, 78, died Feb.20, 2007 in a Bismarck Hospital. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6-9 p.m. at the Bismarck Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be held at the McIntosh Cemetery, rural McIntosh, SD on Saturday at 12 Noon.

Erma was born in Watauga, SD on Oct. 28, 1928 to Rudolph Netzer & Hilda (Hulda Stuber) Netzer. Erma attended Sherman Township grade school south of Morristown and graduated High School in Lemmon, SD.

Erma became Head Teller at the 1st National Bank of Denver. In 1951 Erma married Jack Gehring--they lived in Salt Lake City and Lead, SD. where Jack worked in the gold mines. In the mid 50'sThey moved to McIntosh, SD where they farmed for a short time. On Feb. 18, 1960 Jack died from a caterpillar accident working for the county.

Erma moved to Bismarck, ND in the early 1980s where she resided at the Kensington Apts. In 2003 Erma entered Missouri Slope Care Center in Bismarck.

Erma was very mild mannered and liked by everyone, she enjoyed music, playing the piano, accordion and being a mother.

Erma was preceded in death by her parents Rudy and Hilda Netzer, 2 brothers Alvin and Victor Netzer, her husband Jack Gehring, and an infant son Robert Gehring.

Erma is survived by 4 sons, Clifford Gehring, McIntosh, SD; Duane (Kathleen) Gehring Jamestown, ND; Lyle (Amporn) Gehring Rapid City, SD; Ray Gehring, Torrance, CA; 5 grand children and 6 great-grandchildren.

Erma Alice Netzer, was born in 1928 to Rudolph "Rudy" Netzer and Hulda "Hilda" Stuber, she has 2 brothers, Alvin Rudolph Netzer, and Victor Ruben Netzer. She married Jack Gehring Nov 26 1950, in Lemmon, South Dakota, USA. She has 5 boys, Clifford Jack, Robert (stillborn, barried with her), Duane Robert, Lyle Gene, Raymond "Ray" Lee, Erma loved to play the piano, and the accordian. Jack died young leaving her to raise 4 boys herself when Ray was 3 months old, luckley family stepped in to help her out an raised the boys. She passed away in the hospital in Bismarck, North dakota, USA
