BLISSFIELD – Martin T. Bruechert, 92, of 650 W. Adrian St., died Feb. 28, 1984, at his home.
He was born May 4, 1891, to John and Mary (Wahl) Bruechert. He married Minnie Martolock who died in 1923. In 1924, he married Pauline (Piotter) Beyer. She died in 1975.
Mr. Bruechert was a retired farmer and a former employee of Revco in Deerfield. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Blissfield.
Surviving are two sons, Martin Bruechert Jr. of Leesburg, Fla. and Arthur Beyer of El Paso, Texas; four daughters, Mrs. Bertha Neff of Blissfield, Mrs. Lucille Neyrinck of Riga, June Rose Bruechert of Blissfield, Mrs. Dorothy Hawkins of Benzonia; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lyda Bruechert of Toledo.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Ruth Bruechert; one sister, Clara Staup; and one great-grandson.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Blissfield with the Rev. Vernon Devantier officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Blissfield. Friends may call at the Tagsold Funeral Home from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.
