John Harvey “Sonny” Kreuter, age 81, of Metropolis, IL, passed away at 12:10 pm on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis with Todd Sumner and Pastor Clay Blankenbaker officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
Sonny retired from Allied Signal after 31 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Metropolis.
Sonny is survived by his wife, Deanna Kreuter; one son, John Hunter Kreuter and wife Pam of Paducah, KY; one granddaughter, Sarah Kreuter of Jackson, TN; two stepchildren, Jimmy Casey and wife Angela and Vickie Coram and husband Ron all of Metropolis; four step grandchildren, Marissa Ferreira (Paulo) of Metropolis, Samantha Walker (Ray) of Metropolis, Kristy Barnett (Jonathan) of Tennessee, and Casey Looper (Shawn) of Paducah, KY; seven step great grandchildren, Raymond Kelly Walker, Paisley Barnett, Tyler Barnett, Tanner Barnett, Parker Barnett, Chesney Looper, and Nolan Looper; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Myrel and Warrennetta (Harvey) Kreuter; one sister, Glenda Merlene Sumner.
