Dave was born March 25, 1946, at St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls, MN, the son of Neil and Ardes (Golgowski) Adamek. He was raised on the farm and educated at Randall School. In 1964, he graduated from Little Falls High School. He earned a BA in Biology from University of Minnesota – Duluth. He began his career as a chemical sales representative for Merch Chemical in Ames, IA. In 1970, he returned to the family farm and began farming with his father Neil, and later was joined by his brother Dale. He was united in marriage to Cathy Zimny. In 2005, they sold the cows and in 2006 he was semi-retired. Dave and Cathy moved into town in 2010.
Family and farming were the two most important aspects of Dave’s life. Dave enjoyed collecting agates and coins; collecting hundreds of agates over his lifetime. He was a faithful Minnesota Twins fan.
He will be missed by many and is survived by his wife, Cathy; children, Doug (Angie), of Flensburg, Beth (Nate) Berlin, of Randall, Greg (Laura), of Randall, and Tom, of Randall; grandchildren, Brooke, Cole, Bentleigh, Breckyn, and Danica; and siblings, Larry (Deb), of Long Prairie, Dale (Lynne) of Preston, and Sharon (Mark) Shea, of Plymouth. He was preceded in death by his parents.
