She shared a double headstone at the Immanuel (Coal Creek) Lutheran Church Cemetery SW of Wilson in Russell County, Kansas with her sister-in-law, Agnes Friebus nee Lichtner [memorial 195579736].)

Maria was re-interred in the Wilson Cemetery.
