Muncie – Jack Richard Shafer 83 of Muncie Indiana passed away early Friday morning on Dec 28th, 2018 at his home The Woodlands. He was born February 10th 1935 in Muncie Indiana at Ball Memorial Hospital.
Jack was formerly a Radar Man in the US Navy. Proceeded in death by his mother Helen Marie Shafer, his father Chester Andrew Shafer , and his sister Janis Anne Arvin He is survived by his sister Joyce Parton. His 3 sons Jeff Shafer with his wife Debbie, Kevin Shafer, and Mark Shafer with his wife Christina. His only daughter Dawn C. Shafer. His 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
Family and friends may call from 3:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Monday at the mortuary.
He will be laid to rest beside his parents at Beech Grove Cemetery in Muncie.
