She was the daughter of Henry and Leona (Siegrist) Schmidt. On Sep 15, 1951, she married Elmer Walterbusch, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, Norman Walterbusch, Celina; three daughters: Pauline (John) Braun, Coldwater, Shirley (Steve) Zender, Celina, and Joann (Ron) Wagner, Troy; a son–in-law, Vic (Sue Osterholt ) Belna, Coldwater; five brothers: Charles (Vera) and Ivo (Rose Ann), both Coldwater, Virgil (Velma), Chickasaw, Paul (Janet) and Urban (Sandy) Schmidt, both Goshen; a sister, Eileen Eckstein, Greenville; two brothers-in-law: Louis (Helen) and Bill (Kathryn) Walterbusch, both Coldwater; a sister-in-law, Mary Helen Rose, New Bremen; and eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter linked below; and two brothers-in-law: Clem Eckstein and Raphael Rose.
She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Montezuma, and the Christian Mothers Sodality of the church, and the Saint Cecilia Knights of St. John Auxiliary of Coldwater. A homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, gardening, and loved traveling to events with her son, Norman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery, Montezuma.
