Brian was born to Karen Koetter and on February 14, 1979, he was adopted by William and Margaret Skold. Brian grew up in Madison, Minnesota, and attended Lac Qui Parle Valley High School near Madison. During high school he searched for and found his birth mother. He was also an Eagle Scout. Brian joined the Army National Guard and proudly served in Iraq from September 2004 to November 2005. He was still a member of the National Guard. Brian was a salesman for Miller Auto Center, St. Cloud. He enjoyed snow-mobiling, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Survivors include his children; mother; father and mother; sisters and brothers; grandparents; and many family and friends. Brian was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lawrence Tasto and grandmother, Carol Irene Skold.
