Mrs Sophie Gier died at the home of her son John Gier Monday morning at ten o'clock Dec. 26, 1927. Age 8o years, 9 months and 6 days.
Deceased was the daughter of Jacob Doedtmann and Katherina Saelhorst of Green Creek and was born March 20, 1847.
She was married to Clemens Gier. Only two children of this union. Henry died ten years ago and John still living. Leaves also, one sister, Mrs. Henry Schabbing of Green Creek,
Funeral was held at St. Michael's church, Sigel, Wednesday at nine o'clock. Father Faller, pastor of St. Michael's church officiated,
