Former Resident of Wells, Floyd Kizer Dies At Age 73

A Wells County native who was the father of Mrs. Mark (Jane) Ingle of Ossian and a brother of Jerry Kizer of Bluffton, Floyd M. Kizer, 73 who had been seriously ill the past several months, died at 12:15 a.m. Monday at his home in Frenchburg, KY.
A graduate of Petroleum High School, Mr. Kizer retired in 1962 as a tool grinder at Dana Corp., and left here in 1965 to reside in Kentucky. He was a member of the Church of God.
Born July 13, 1908 in Wells County, he was a son of Orlando and Margaret Lambert Kizer. His marriage to Daisy Lockhart, who survives, took place in 1937 in Frenchburg.
Surviving in addition to the wife, Ossian daughter, and Bluffton brother, are a son, David Kizer of Fort Wayne; five other daughters, Mrs. Mary Ann Gilran of Frenchburg, Ky., Mrs. Martha Koepp of Chicago, Mrs. Georgia Harden
of Gastonia, N.C., Mrs. Christene Fowler of Indiatlantic, Fla., and Mrs. Sharon Freshwater of Troy O.; another brother Woodrow Kizer of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Mansfield of Muncie and Mrs. Pearl Whetstone of
Decatur, 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Calling is at the Easton-Richey Funeral Home in Frenchburg with services there set for 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at Frenchburg.
