He is survived by his wife, Carol Woodrum Varney; a son, Phillip Varney of Dekalb, IL; daughters, Samantha Peffer (John) of Dekalb, IL; Mandy Hill of Brazil, IN and Megan Hill of Sout Bend, IN; brothers, Carl Vaney of Logan, John and Gary Varney of Boling Brook, IL; sister, Phyllis Fisher of Bolin Brook, IL; sisters-in-law, Roberta White, Mari Varney and Ethel Tina Varney; four grandchildren.
