Dr. Robert U. "Rocky" Rockstroh, 69, Green Bay, died Thursday, May 29, 2003, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer, while at home surrounded by his family. He was born June 20, 1933, in Green Bay to the late Karl A. and Mary (Ulrich) Rockstroh. He enjoyed life to the fullest and will be missed by his family and friends. He was a chiropractor, practicing for 38 years in Green Bay. He enjoyed playing cards, golfing, playing the harmonica and was a member of the Brown County Musical and Literary Society, the Green Bay Moose Lodge #801 and was active in the Brown County Tavern League. He also thoroughly enjoyed his cottage and many friends on Legend Lake.

He is survived by eight children and their spouses, Connie and Perry Niquette, Mason, Ohio, Mary Kay and Mohammed Heddaoui, Green Bay, Dr. Michael and Molly Rockstroh, Green Bay, Thomas Rockstroh, Green Bay, Tracy and Rafael Ramirez, Green Bay, Steven Rockstroh, Green Bay, Robin and Mike Caelwaerts, Flintville, Paula Rae and Ryan Gillingham, Chicago, Ill.; 13 grandchildren, Jordan and Braedyn Niquette, Hannah and Lily Heddaoui, Brandon, Austin and Ryan Rockstroh, Vanessa and Bijan Ramirez, Danielle Rockstroh, Ceanna and Isaac Caelwaerts, Isabella Gillingham; and the mother of his eight children, Susie Vanderloop.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his only brother, Karl Jr.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. There will be a Parish Wake Service at 7 p.m. Sunday. Friends may also call at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria St., from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Larry Canavera officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Mausoleum.
