Inwood, IA: Lamont Rentschler, 77, of Inwood, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019, on his family farm. Funeral services will be at Porter Funeral Home in Inwood on Monday, February 25 at 3:00 pm with Pastor Rob Horstman officiating. Burial will follow at Richland Cemetery. Visitation, with the family present, will be held one hour prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 PM at the funeral home.

Lamont was born on April 22, 1941, to George and Ruby Rentschler. He attended Inwood High School and farmed for many years. He was also a member of the Army Reserve. Lamont enjoyed collecting memorabilia from the past and being outdoors.

He is survived by his sister, Rochelle Lundeen, of Kansas City. He is also survived by a niece, Christina Lundeen (Bruce Cameron) of Kansas City and another niece, Katie O’Doherty (Tom) of Chicago, plus two great-nieces and two great-nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruby, and his brother-in-law, David Lundeen.
