Emil A. Carow
Emil A. Carow, retired city marshal for the city of Troutdale, died Saturday in a Portland hospital. He was 71.
Mr. Carow was born in Edgely, N.D., and lived in Portland from 1921 to 1945 before moving to Troutdale. He was a member of the Troutdale Lions Club and Troutdale Historical Society.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia M.; sons, Robert and David, both of Seaside; a brother, Alfred, and two sisters, Emma H. Schnell and Ida Brandenberg [sic], all of Edgely.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Bateman Funeral Home, Gresham, with private vault interment in Riverview Abbey. The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the American Cancer Society.
