Harold H. “Pinky” Boede, 62, 135 E. Arndt St., died of an apparent heart attack at his home at 6:45 p.m. Friday.
He was born Aug. 14, 1908, in Fond du Lac the son of John and Mary Zimmer Boede. He married Cecile Burnet Sept. 9, 1935, at St. Louis Church.
He was employed as a linotype operator for the Commonwealth Reporter and was a member of Local 31 of the International Typographical Union. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and the Holy Name Society.
Survivors include his widow; two sons, Robert and Peter, both of the city; four grandchildren, three brothers, Marvin and Arnold of the city and Norman of California; and one sister, Hazel Boede of the city
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Zacherl Funeral Home and at 10 am. At St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Donald A. Peters officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral services for Harold H. Boede, who died Friday, were held at 9:30 a.m. today at Zacherl Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church. The Rev. Donald Peters officiated and burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Frank Dittrich, Edward Hiester, Albert Huelsman, Robert Roughen, Alfred Stoecker, Robert Cooley and David Boede.
