Richard was a master electrician of his own business Zimmer Electric. He was an avid reader, enjoyed history, making model airplanes, riding dirt bikes and loved his cats. Mr. Zimmer was always a wonderful provider for his family. He always entertained the family with his dry sense of humor. Richard is going to be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister, Norma Kinney.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; one son; three daughters; eleven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Friends and family will gather on Monday, March 25, 2019 from 4 to 8 PM in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 10 AM on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at White Lick Cemetery.
