Norman Max Roehl peacefully passed away on June 24 in Bellevue at the age of 94. He was born in Oshkosh, WI to Max and Erna (Spengler) Roehl. He graduated from Oshkosh High School and Whitworth College. Norm was a B-24 pilot during World War II. Upon leaving the Air Force, he worked for a variety of companies, including Kimberly-Clark. After spending years in the private sector, Norm found his true passion - teaching. For 24 years he taught fifth and sixth grade in the Bellevue area.

Norm loved his family and friends and had faith in the Lord. He also loved spending summers at Priest Lake and winters in Mesa. He was a passionate fisherman, loved Golden Retrievers, and was a UW Husky, Green Bay Packer, and Seahawk fan. Norm is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Fritz Anderson of Denver, Colorado; and his son, Bob, of Boise, Idaho.

He is preceded in death by his father, mother, and beloved wife, Sylvia (Sly).
