Edward, "Eddie" or "Mr. K", as many called him, was known as a successful business man and entrepreneur, who got his start at age 13 in auto part sales riding with his dad and calling on customers. At a young age he had a love for working with people, and through his relentless work ethic and care for his customers, grew his small family business into a number of successful businesses which include: Victoria Bearing, Gulf Bolt & Supply, Brady Bearing, Columbus Bearing and Acme Screen Mfg. But what Edward was most proud of was his family who called him "Drampsie." He built his family with his greatest love, his wife, Margaret, who he lovingly called his sweetheart. "Drampsie" and "Meme" shared a life together of love, laughter and happiness for over 75 years. In addition to their greatest accomplishment, raising their family, they had many joys which included starting a farm, hosting large get togethers, and even adopting two dogs in their nineties.
Edward will be remembered by his passion for life, relentless work ethic, creative ideas, great sense of humor and his love for his family. He was blessed to live a full life thanks to the amazing help and love he received from his family, caregivers and incredible doctors. Dramps you "did it your way!" We love you and you will always be in our hearts!
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of over 75 years, Margaret Ann Davis Kalinowski before her passing in 2017; sisters, Julia Ann, Katherine, Francis, Estelle; brothers, Frank Jr., Robert, Joe and one grandson Troy B. Doughtie.
Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 5-7 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April 26, 2019 at 1 PM at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral with Rev. Kristopher Fuchs officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
