Lancaster County Deputy Sheriff Earl E. Ziemann died Sunday at age 47, apparently of a heart attack, the sheriff's office said.
Ziemann, a Hickman resident, was the younger brother of Chief Deputy Del Ziemann.
Other survivors include his wife, Joan; sons, Doran, Bruce and Brian; daughters Lynette, Diane and Ila Rae; sisters, Mrs. Ruth Sieck of Martell, Mrs. Lois Wissel of Hickman and Mrs. Marily VerMass of Lincoln; and three grandchildren.
