Alvin was raised by loving parents, Anne and Peter Neufeld, on a dairy farm on Gladwin Rd., Abbotsford. He attended South Abbotsford M.B. Church as a child. He attended South Poplar Elementary School, MEI & Abbotsford Sr. He worked as a carpenter at the Canadian Pacific Railway. He married Jill Wilson in 1972 at Trinity United Church. They moved to Ft. St. John where he worked for Land's Trucking for many years.
Alvin lost an infant daughter, Kristy, and later lost his wife, Jill, after 25 years of marriage, to a car accident. Alvin was also predeceased by his dad 20 years ago.
He leaves behind his daughter Edithanne (Babe), her husband Phil; son Lex and his wife Jodie; 2 daughters later in life, Tracy (John) McKenzie , Angie (Brian) Gourlie & 10 grandchildren; sister Linda Coleman; mother and stepfather Anne and George Warkentin , many aunts, uncles and friends.
