Edward J. Mroz, 49, residing in South Bend, IN passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at his home. Edward was born on March 16, 1970 in South Bend to Thomas Mroz and Carol (Walton) Yeskey and has been a lifelong resident of this area. Edward worked in Recreational Vehicle Manufacturing for many years.
He is survived by his father, Thomas (Kay) Mroz of Mishawaka, IN and his mother, Carol Yeskey of South Bend; daughter, Paige (Curtis) Leonard of South Bend, IN; sons, Justin Shields of South Bend, IN and Kevin Shields of South Bend, IN; grandchildren, Kevin, Kylie, Jason, Jordan, Ca'Layla, De'Zyah, Ca'Niyah and Ca'Lasia; brothers, Erik (Yuko) Mroz of Carmel, IN, and David Yeskey of South Bend. He was also survived by his grandmother, Edythe Green, niece, Aryiah Yeskey, nephew, Braidyn Yeskey, special friends, Ricky Pauwels and Tim Cunningham and survived and loved by many cousins, aunts and uncles. Edward was preceded in death by his step-father, David Yeskey, his special aunt, Bonnie Casper and the mother of his three children, Melissa Shields.
Funeral services for Edward will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2019 at Palmer Funeral Home Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, IN 46614, where friends may gather with the family two hours prior to services. Graveside service will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
