Pate Funeral Home Kevin Lloyd Cox, 63, of Benton, passed away at 2:45 p.m., on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at the Marion VA Medical Community Living Center. He was born on September 9, 1955, to Lloyd Cox and JoAnn Campbell in Benton, IL. Kevin was a dog groomer in Benton for 14 years. He married the former Caryl Neiman, and she proceeded him in death. Kevin was a United States Navy Veteran. He loved playing golf, boating and spending time with his pet companion Yodi. He is survived by his mother, JoAnn Campbell; four brothers and two sisters, Courtney Cox and wife Leslie, Jackie Giacoman, Raul David Giacoman, Maria Elena Byrd, Jon Christopher Giacoman and Justus William Cox; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd D. Cox; and wife, Caryl Cox. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Pate Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Benton, IL. Per Kevin's wishes cremation will take place, and services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Angelina Foundation or the Franklin County Animal Shelter, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
