Didi Garlow (aka Didi Mitchell) was born Daryl Lea Weeden on December 26, 1958. She made her transition on December 11, 2014 surrounded by her loving family, Russ Garlow, her husband, Jessica Lewis, her daughter, Shelley Mitchell-Lish, her sister and Deanne (Dee Evans) Danner, her mother. She also leaves behind her first grandchild, Ryker Jaxon Lewis (born May 22, 2014); her niece. Catalina Elizabeth Lish and her half sister Geree Weeden Lewis. Didi was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Weeden on Dec. 25, 2013.

With her many talents, skills and abilities, Didi led a busy and creative life with so many accomplishments. Her last proud achievement was earning her Master Gardener's Certificate. She was in the process of turning her property into an award winning organic garden when her energy waned to the point she had to put her coveted garden "on hold".

Didi never met a stranger -- just friends that hadn't been acknowledged yet. She had such a welcoming and winning personality, a wicked sense of humor, a sharp wit and could speak in any dialect. She was the life of the party and could entertain a crowd at the drop of a hat. She was hilarious. She was beautiful. She was a remarkable woman.

We will love her and miss
her all the days of our lives.

The family invites Didi's friends to join them in a Celebration of Her Life to be held at Unity Church of Lynnwood, 16727 Alderwood Mall Pkwy, Lynnwood, WA 98037 on Saturday, January 24 @ 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Didi Garlow Memorial Fund with proceeds going to provide a monument in Didi's memory to be placed in the Spring. Place and time to be announced. Anyone wishing to donate may contact Shelley Lish at [email protected].
