August Lawrence of Town Meeme Called to Rest
Kiel – (Special) – August Carl Frederick Lawrence, 80, died at his home in the town of Meeme Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock after a one day illness.
He was born Jan. 4, 1860, in Albertinenhof-Pommern, Germany, and in 1885 moved to Baron county, Wis. On Nov. 18, 1888, he married Ernestine Fell of Saffenhagen,
Germany, the Rev. Martin Denninger performing the ceremony in Zion Evangelical Lutheran church, Louis Corners.
The couple lived in Price county for six years and in 1894 moved to the present farm. Survivors are the widow, four daughters and a son, Elmer at home, Mrs.
Carl (Ida) Mueller, Mr. John (Minnie) Rades, Mrs. Ella Mueller and Mrs. Harry (Ethel) Mueller, all of town of Meeme, 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren,
two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Buchmiller of Westbora, Wis., and Mrs. Tina Zuehlke of Ogema, Wis. A daughter died several years ago.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Meiselwitz Funeral home and at 2 o'clock at Zion Evangelical Lutheran church, Louis Corners,
of which the deceased was a faithful member. The Rev. Harold O. Grunwald will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. The body can be viewed at the funeral home.
