Richard N. “Dick” Volbert, age 66, of St. Cloud, died Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Heritage of Foley Care Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016 at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
Dick was born on April 10, 1950 in St. Cloud, MN to Urban and Louise (Neis) Volbert. He married Barbara Tollefson on October 18, 1985 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids. Dick worked several jobs over the years but his favorites were driving bread truck, being a meat wrapper, and working at the Walmart lawn and garden center. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, spending time outdoors watching wildlife, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years Barbara of St. Cloud; children, Angela (Tyler) Kruckman of Monticello, Andrea (Brian Gholson) Volbert of St. Cloud, Annette Volbert of St. Cloud, Anthony Volbert of Cold Spring; siblings, Michael Volbert of St. Cloud, Charles (Jana) Volbert of St. Cloud, Mary Lou (John) Bohlig of Rosemount, MN, and Marne (Mark) Evanson of St. Joseph; 11 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Aaron.
