Funeral services will be held for Norman Harold Galle, 38, at 2 p. m. Wednesday from Holy Cross Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles Sonnier officiating.

A rosary will be said at 7 tonight at the Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will be in the Hawley Cemetery under the direction of Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.

Galle died Sunday, March 27, 1983 in the John Sealy Hospital in Galveston as the result of burns received when a liquid storage tank filled with liquid natural gas exploded at a Phillips Petroleum Co. terminal.

He was born March 8, 1944 in Bay City.

Galle is survived by his wife Myra Vaughan Galle and three sons Todd, Bart and Sean all of Bay City; his parents, Lefty and Molly Mitchell of Blessing; grandmother, Peggy Mayhew of Bay City; sister, Kathy Cockroft of Sweeny; brother, Lawrence Mitchell of Glen Flora; and four nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tom Uher, Dan Pena, Ben Manry, Jimmy Spurr, Kenneth Smith, J. N. McDonald, Charles Ryan and Kenneth May. Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Icenogle, Frank Susik, James Ward, David Sparks and Randolph White.

A member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, he was active in the Parks and Recreation soccer program, Little League baseball, the Holy Cross Parents-Teachers Association, the Knights of Columbus and Ducks Unlimited.
