James Armontrout, who is well known here, died at Chelsea last Sunday and was buried in Adair cemetery Wednesday. He was attempting to cross a little foot bridge across a small ravine, Sunday night and stumbled or walked off the bridge and fell ten or twelve feet on his head in the soft mud of the bed and his forehead came in contact with an old broken iron pot, and death was by concussion of the brain or by strangulation in the mud. The family thought he had gone back to his work in Tulsa, and his body was not discovered until Tuesday just before noon.
