Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the Nelson Christian church (sic) for Mrs. Herman Brennfoerder, 62, of Nelson. She died Saturday at Hastings.
Mr. P.B. Cope, the church pastor, had charge of the service and burial was made in the Nelson cemetery (sic).
Bertha Jane Smith, daughter of Frank and Anna Smith, was born on Sept. 10, 1896, at Deweese, Nebr. She lived all of her life in Nuckolls county (sic) and joined the Christian church (sic) at Nelson when a young girl.
She married Herman Brennfoerder on March 19, 1919. To this union were born three children, Mrs. Harley Brennfoerder (Anna) at Nelson, Mrs. Ivan Erickson (Blanch) at Edgar and Frank at Davenport, Nebr.
She passed away at the age of 62 years, 1 month and 15 days at Hastings, Nebr., at the Hastings hospital on Oct. 25, 1958.
Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother and two sisters. She leaves to mourn, her husband, two daughters, one son, two sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law, six grandchildren, one brother, Ernest, one sister, Clara Gerdes, both of Edgar, and a host of relatives and fiends.
