Funeral for George Jacob Schneider, 83, 637 NE Stanton St., [was] at Ebenezer Congregational Church. Entombment will be at Riverview Abbey.
Mr. Schneider died Thursday at Holladay Park Hospital.
A native of Hussenbach, Russia, born Nov. 3, 1883, he had lived in this community 25 years. He owned his own carpentry business but has [sic] retired. He was a member of Ebenezer Congregatinal Church.
Survivors are sons, Phillip, Benjamin and Edwin, all of Portland; the Rev. Fred Schneider and the Rev. Henry Schneider, both of Billings, Mont.; Harold, of Eugene, and David of Ft. Collins, Colo., and a daughter, Mrs. Esther Schneider of Alberta, Canada.
