Jeffry Tonks Bischoff
GENEVA - Jeffry Tonks Bischoff, 45, our beloved son, brother, and friend, died unexpectedly December 24, 2008 at his home in Geneva, Idaho. He is survived by his mother, Nadine Bischoff, Geneva, Idaho; siblings, Dale Bischoff, Denver, Colorado, Janet (Daron) Bradford, Orem, Utah, Diane (Steve) Tippetts, St, George, Utah, and Annette Bischoff, Holyoke, Massachussetts. He joins in heaven with his father, Ernest G, Bischoff.
Jeff was born in Montpelier, Idaho on May 13, 1963. He grew up in Geneva, Idaho where he lived all his life. Attending schools in Geneva and Montpelier Idaho, Jeff graduated from Bear Lake High School in 1981. He played clarinet in the high school band and developed a life long love of music. As an adult, he sought out opportunities to attend concerts and cultural events. He, himself, became an accomplished organist and pianist, playing at many civic and church functions. He played the organ in his ward, starting in his teens; a calling he held most all of his life.
Active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he served a mission in Atlanta, Georgia. He continued his service in the church accepting various callings in his Ward and Stake.
He was an exceptional son, loving and caring for his mother these last several years. He had a knack for thoughtfulness and spent time doing nice things for his brothers and sisters, as well as neighbors and friends. Jeff also mastered the art of teasing to which all of his nieces and nephews will attest. He will greatly be missed.
Jeff was a great cook, specializing in baked goods and candy. There was always something good to eat on hand when Jeff was around.
He drove bus for the local school district, taking many extra trips to school activities. He enjoyed watching the youth participate. He also liked to follow college sports.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 28, at Matthews Mortuary in Montpelier, Idaho and from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday, December 29, at the Geneva LDS Ward. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the Geneva, Idaho Cemetery following the services.
