Nancy C. Pick, age 75 of Hartington, Nebraska died on Friday, August 23, 2019 at the Arbor Care Centers in Hartington.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family (Sts. Peter & Paul) Catholic Church in Bow Valley, Nebraska with the Rev. Jim Keiter officiating. Burial will be at the Sts. Peter & Paul cemetery in Bow Valley. Visitation will be on Sunday, at church, from 3-6:00 p.m. with a Vigil service at 5:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday one hour prior to services.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Bottolfson, Jason Kvols, Bill Lauer, Bob Lauer, Tim Sutton, and Eric Schulte.

Nancy Carole Pick was born on July 12, 1944 in Obert, Nebraska to Arthur Harvey and Daisy Marie (Mathers) Bottolfson. She grew up near Obert and graduated from Hartington High School in 1962. Nancy went to Norfolk Junior College for her teaching certificate. She taught at the Waucapona Country School and later at West Catholic elementary in Fordyce. Nancy married Donovan Roman Pick on November 25, 1967 in Hartington. She helped Donovan operate Don’s Hardware in Fordyce for 30 years until selling the store in 1999. They both retired to the Pick homestead farm near Bow Valley.

Nancy was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fordyce, Sacred Heart parish in Wynot, and then Sts. Peter & Paul parish in Bow Valley. She was a member of the Ladies Aide groups. Nancy was involved in the Bow Valley community play one year which she really enjoyed. She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends, loved puzzles of all kinds, and taking trips with family and friends. Nancy always had multiple entries at the Cedar County Fair. She spent a lot of time with her mother and her sisters over the years which have made for lasting memories.

Nancy is survived by her two daughters one granddaughter, three sisters, one brother, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Art & Daisy Bottolfson; husband Donovan on March 10, 2019 at the age of 74; son-in-law John Lane; a sister Janet Sutton.
