Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wed. March 7 at 1: 30 in St. Agatha's Roman Catholic Church, Shellbrook by Rev. Fr. G. Deschamps. Mrs. Vonda Steckler played the organ and Mr. Henri Paulhus led the congregational singing.
Predeceased by his first wife Mary Ellen ( nee Bruce) in 1970 and an infant son Ronald
Surviving are his wife Rena ( nee Gale) the former Mrs. Rena Harris, 2 sons and one daughter: Lloyd ( Hazel Pederson) of Sturgeon Valley, Don ( Lillian Anderson) of Thompson, Man. and Audrey ( Mrs. Jim Bird) of Prince Albert; his wife's 2 daughters: Alice (Mrs. Earl Bruce) of Holbein, and Mary (Mrs. Cal Slene) of Calgary, 17 grandchildren, one great- grandson also 2 sisters and 2 brothers: Ed of Fort Sask., Ann (Mrs. Joe Heck) of Provost, Alta., Monica ( Mrs. Lawrence Holzinger) of Provost and Mike of Port Alberni.
Born March 16, 1904 in Gennany, he came to Canada with his parents in 1914 to Batttleford.
In 1927, he took up farming in the Sturgeon Valley area until his retirement in 1965 . He had served as a trustee of the One Spruc~ Local School district and was a member of SI. Agatha's Parish, Shellbrook.
The family grate fully accepted memorials to the Cancer Society in lieu of other tributes. Pallbearers were Erling Skauge, Edwin Heredin, Carl Wendel, Wilf Bales, Alvin Gelletta, and Stanley Tomporowski. lnternment followed in the Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.
