Maria "Mary" Templeman was born in May 1853 in Polk, Washington, Wisconsin, USA as the first child of Elizabeth Mary Herther and Heinrich Templeman. She died in 1936 in Cadott, Chippewa, Wisconsin, USA. When she was 20, she married Adam Pfaff,son of Hans Henry "Johannes" Henrich Paff and Anna Katharina Goetz, on 15 Mar 1874 in Addison, Washington, Wisconsin, USA (Reformed Dutch Church). Maria "Mary" Templeman lived in Hartford, Wisconsin as a child and moved to Dunn County, possibly after she married Adam in 1874. By 1900, the couple was living in Sigel, WI and later the address for the couple was Cadott. Her husband preceded her in death in 1914. Maria died in 1936. Burial details are not known at the time of this writing, but it is believed that she and her husband are buring in Chippewa County, Wisconsin. The couple had ten known children: Anna Catherine "Katie", Caroline "Carey", Magdalena "Lena", John, Charles Jacob "Carl, George Louis, Elizabeth "Marie", Freda, and unnamed son.
