She was born on May 22, 1920, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Neisius) Sonnentag in the Town of Edson.
Julia grew up in the Town of Edson and attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in the Town of Edson.
Julia Sonnentag was united in marriage to George Baldeshwiler on June 30, 1942 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edson. Following their marriage they lived and farmed in Jim Falls.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, flowers, fishing, feeding the birds, nature, dancing, singing, whistling, writing, reading and sewing. She was a very active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Jim Falls.
Julia is survived by: four sons and one daughter, Ronald (Marietta) Baldeshwiler of Chippewa Falls, Sharon (Gerald) Schug of Eau Claire, Dennis (Ellen) Baldeshwiler of Jim Falls, Glenn (Roxanne) Baldeshwiler of Chippewa Falls and James (Andrea) Baldeshwiler of Chippewa Falls. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Julia was preceded in death by: her parents; husband George in 1991; and eight brothers and two sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 19 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Jim Falls, with Fr. Peter Manickam officiating. Interment will be in the Cornell Cemetery in Cornell.
