Bonnie (Certain) Cameron, 77, of Leesburg, Fla., formerly of Sioux City, died Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at her residence in Leesburg, after a brief, courageous battle with cancer.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 30, at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Merrill G. Muller officiating. Interment will be in Graceland Park Cemetery.
Bonnie was born in Sioux City on Aug. 2, 1928, the daughter of Allen and Rose (Law) Certain.
She was united in marriage to Conrad Cameron on Aug. 15, 1948, in Sergeant Bluff. They resided in Sioux City for 32 years before retiring at Lewis and Clark Lake in Yankton, S.D. In 1994, the couple moved permanently to Leesburg.
Bonnie was an elementary school secretary for the Sioux City Community School District. She cherished the time spent with her family, close friends and especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Conrad Cameron of Leesburg; a son and his wife, Britt and Cristy Cameron of W. Des Moines, Iowa; a daughter and her husband, Kim and Brian Barnes of N. Canton, Ohio; grandchildren, Nick, Quinn and Shay Cameron of W. Des Moines and Beau and Ben Barnes of N. Canton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Brad Cameron in 2000; and a sister, Avonelle Scherer.
