Our community was shrouded in sadness Tuesday when it was learned that Henry A. Fangman, hardware merchant, had passed out of life into his eternal reward on Monday night, June 2, at his home. He was a man who was respected by the entire community for integrity and upright living, and many are the regrets expressed at his death.

It was but a few months ago he was at his place of business mingling with us in a business and friendly way, when he was taken ill and left for Prairie du Chein to seek relief. After being at the sanitarium there for a few weeks, he returned to Nashua, and went to Waverly Hospital for treatment, but all to no avail, and he was returned to his home where every care was given him by loved ones of his family until the end came.

Mr. Fangman was born near New Vienna, Iowa, sixty three years ago. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Fangman. For the past twenty years he had been conducting a hardware store in this city.

Besides his widow, he is survived by the following children:
Mrs. Smith Gogg
Marcella Fangman
Louise Fangman
Helen Fangman
Norbert Fangman
Leo Fangman

One son, Lawrence, died while serving overseas during the World War.

Funeral will be June 5 at 9:30 at St. Michael's CHurch with the body being laid to rest in St. Michael's Cemetery. Businesses of Nashua will close during the hour of 9:30 to 10:30.
