Anton A. Christiansen, 79, of Windsor Locks, beloved husband of the late Hildegard (Kaminski) Christiansen, died peacefully Sep 17, 2006 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Ovenum Foehr, Germany on September 2, 1927, Tony was the son of the late August and Sophia (Peterson) Christiansen. He came to the United States in 1956 and proudly became a US Citizen in 1961. Tony and his wife were residents of Long Island, NY before moving to Windsor Locks in 1980 to be closer to their grandchildren. He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Windsor. A loving father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and dear friend, Tony is survived by his loving children, Ute Schroeder and her husband David of Windsor Locks and Holger Christiansen and his wife Carlena of Indiana; his brothers, Jens Christiansen, Siegfred Christiansen, Georg Christiansen and Manfred Christiansen; his sisters, Katharina Christiansen and Marret Lueders; seven grandchildren, David Lukon, Vicki Kuracz, Victoria Lindsey, James Lindsey, DJ Lindsey, Jianna Schroeder and Aaron Schroeder; seven great-grandchildren, Ashley Gee, Brian Kuracz, Matthew Kuracz, Alexis Lindsey, Garrett Lindsey, Aiden Lindsey, Brianna Schroeder and many dear friends. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
