Clyde Luther Achors, 77, of Shelbyville and formerly of Greene and Sullivan counties. passed away at 1:05 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at the Heritage House in Shelbyville. He was born in Greene County on Oct. 22, 1929 to Luther James Achors and Liza Chaney Achors. He is survived by one son, Bill K. Achors of Shelbyville; one daughter; Debra J. Wallen of Greensburg; one brother; Charles John Achors of Martinsville; four sisters, Emma White of Linton, Cora Cutsinger of Marietta, Hildred Gayhimer of Franklin; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Christy Achors; three brothers, Joe, Noah, and Jim Achors; also one sister, Mary Achors. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with Rev. Scott Chambers officiating. Burial in the Dugger Cemetery.
