Carl Andreas Bartz, farmer, passed away at his home west of Didsbury on Sunday, March 13th, aged 69 years, 11 months and ten days.
Born on April 2, 1869, in Wenglarken, Germany, he and his family came to Canada in September, 1912, and he had resided on his farm west of town since that time.
The late Mr. Bartz is survived by three sons, Emil, Otto and Erwin, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Ed. Jans, Didsbury, Mrs. John Folkmann, and Ella, at home. Two sisters in Germany also survive. His wife, Bertha Helena, four daughters and one son predeceased him.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Westcott, by Rev. J. J. Kuring, and interment was made at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
